Service

We are dedicated to empowering our women through a commitment to community service and philanthropy. Throughout the year, Alpha Chi Omega hosts many fun and educational events that provide an outlet for members to get involved. All of the proceeds from these events go to Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, a center for women who are victims of domestic violence. We recently partnered up with Distributing Dignity as well, an organization that provides donated toiletries and feminine products to women in need.

We host a handful of events throughout the year to benefit these causes, such as "pop-up shops" from a popular women's boutique, Mixology, and jewelry designer Stella & Dot. These events are always extremely successful, bringing in women from all over campus to shop in our chapter room- and 15% of the proceeds go to Turning Point!

In addition, we participate in a number of collaborative events like Relay for Life, Spooktacular, Parent's Night Out, and other opportunities on campus with fellow fraternities, sororities, and organizations.

In the community, we have relationships with the food shelter, homework clubs at local elementary schools and Turning Point. In the future we hope to maintain these relationships while fostering new ones with groups around Bethlehem. More than 20 of our members even volunteered to undergo domestic violence training certification- a 40 hour process that will allow us to provide hands-on help at Turning Point.

We hold our members to a high standard of community involvement and encourage them participate in services that they feel connected to. Many of our sisters are leaders of community service clubs and groups around campus.

The dedication of our sisters has created a diverse network of opportunities and an attitude of genuine caring and generosity.
